Description
Determination of mutations in BRAF, KRAS, NRAS, HRAS, TERT genes, as well as RET/PTC, PAX8/PPARG translocations is recommended for the diagnosis of thyroid cancer in cytological material of intermediate malignancy risk according to Bethesda (III-V). Examination of BRAF V600E mutation and mutations in the promoter region of the TERT gene is recommended for postoperative risk stratification of thyroid cancer recurrence to determine patient management tactics.
