Culture for Aerobic and Facultative Anaerobic Flora

Description

This is a microbiological study that allows determining the qualitative and quantitative composition of the microflora of the examined biomaterial, including detecting opportunistic microorganisms in high titer and pathogenic microorganisms, and determining their sensitivity to antibiotics and bacteriophages.

When microorganisms constituting normal microflora, or opportunistic microorganisms in a titer less than diagnostic are detected by the microbiological method, sensitivity to antibiotics and bacteriophages is not determined, since this quantity is not significant and does not require treatment with antimicrobial drugs.

The anaerobic flora includes actinomycetes, bacteroides, clostridia, eubacteria and fusobacteria, peptostreptococci, propionibacteria, veillonella, prevotella, gemella, porphyromonas, and bifidobacteria.

* Urine culture is performed on the Alfred60 analyzer (ALIFAX, Italy), which, using a patented technology based on the laser light scattering method, detects the presence of bacteria and their resistance to antibiotics with high sensitivity and specificity within 6 hours from the moment the sample is processed. Therefore, a negative urine culture result can be issued in less than 1 day from the moment the order is placed.

* The set of antibiotics depends on the isolated microorganism and the commercial test system, which is currently provided by the manufacturer according to modern recommendations / is available for purchase in the region.
