Description
This is a microbiological test that allows determining the qualitative and quantitative composition of the microflora of the examined biomaterial, including identifying opportunistic microorganisms in high titer and pathogenic microorganisms, and determining their susceptibility to antibiotics.
If microorganisms constituting normal microflora or opportunistic microorganisms in a titer lower than the diagnostic threshold are detected, susceptibility to antibiotics and bacteriophages is not determined, as this amount is not significant and does not require treatment with antimicrobial drugs.
* Urine culture is performed on the Alfred60 analyzer (ALIFAX, Italy), which, using patented technology based on laser light scattering, detects the presence of bacteria and their resistance to antibiotics with high sensitivity and specificity within 6 hours from sample loading. Therefore, a negative urine culture result can be issued in less than 1 day from the moment the order is placed.
