Description
A universal microbiological test that allows determining the presence and basic cultural properties (titer, quantity), and sensitivity to major groups of bacteriophages of most aerobic microorganisms growing on standard nutrient media. Virtually any type of biological material is suitable for the study. The analysis is used for microbiological diagnosis of non-specific infectious diseases, detection of pathogens of chronic infections, and determination of the most suitable drug for therapy.
When microorganisms constituting normal microflora or conditionally pathogenic microorganisms in a titer less than diagnostic are detected by the microbiological method, sensitivity to antibiotics and bacteriophages is not determined, since this amount is not significant and does not require treatment with antimicrobial drugs.
*Urine culture is performed on the Alfred60 analyzer (ALIFAX, Italy), which, using patented technology based on laser light scattering, detects the presence of bacteria and their resistance to antibiotics with high sensitivity and specificity within 6 hours from the moment the sample is set based. Therefore, a negative urine culture result can be issued in less than 1 day from the moment the order is placed.
* The set of antibiotics depends on the isolated microorganism and the commercial test system, which is currently provided by the manufacturer in accordance with modern recommendations / is available for purchase in the region.
