Description
The method involves placing the biological material on a special culture medium suitable for the growth of mycoplasmas. In the presence of microorganism growth, their quantity (titer) and susceptibility to antibacterial drugs are determined; susceptibility is not determined in case of scanty growth. The study allows identifying the microorganism and selecting the most optimal therapy for the disease.
When evaluating the effectiveness of antibacterial therapy, the culture is performed no earlier than 14 days after drug withdrawal.
* The set of antibiotics depends on the isolated microorganism and the commercial test system, which is currently provided by the manufacturer in accordance with current recommendations / is available for purchase in this region.
