Description
Microbiological examination of wound infection, consisting of the isolation of the suspected pathogen from the wound discharge with subsequent determination of its sensitivity to antibiotics.
Unlike other microbiological tests, antibiotic sensitivity is determined using an automatic analyzer using the minimum inhibitory concentration method. The result is issued not only in the form of the antibiotic sensitivity category but also in the form of antibiotic minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values, which, in turn, allows the doctor to select the most effective minimum dose of the antibiotic, reducing its negative impact on the human body.
* The set of antibiotics depends on the isolated microorganism and the commercial test system, which is currently provided by the manufacturer in accordance with the modern recommendations "Clinical guidelines for determining the sensitivity of microorganisms to antimicrobial drugs 2021-01" and is available for purchase in this region.
