Predisposition to hypercoagulability

Description

Hereditary thrombophilia is one of the most common genetically determined pathological conditions, which often remains undiagnosed. Most often, hereditary thrombophilia manifests as deep vein thrombosis and venous thromboembolism. Blood coagulation disorders in hereditary thrombophilia are in most cases caused by abnormalities in the genes of coagulation factors II and V, associated with known genetic markers. The analysis involves molecular genetic testing of the status of genetic markers, abnormalities in which are most often the causes of increased blood clotting (hypercoagulability). Early diagnosis of genetic predisposition to hypercoagulability will help avoid serious consequences for the cardiovascular system and the development of associated severe diseases by timely adoption of necessary therapeutic and preventive measures.

Investigated genetic markers: F2 (G20210A), F5 (G1691A).

The examination results are issued with an interpretation by a geneticist.
