Description
Pregnancy loss in the early stages (in the first trimester) is most often associated with serious genetic disorders in the fetus and defects in placental development due to its thrombotic damage. A history of early pregnancy loss or established cardiovascular system diseases in the expectant mother or her relatives are determining reasons for conducting a genetic analysis, allowing for the quick and accurate establishment of the causes of disorders in the course of pregnancy. The analysis involves the study of genetic markers of the risk of congenital malformations in the fetus (Down syndrome, other trisomies, neural tube defects, etc.), as well as markers of predisposition to increased blood clotting in the mother, and includes the study of four genetic markers responsible for the regulation of blood coagulation. The investigated risks are not evidence of the presence of genetic anomalies in the fetus - they allow timely measures to be taken to prevent the consequences of adverse genetic characteristics of the mother's body and ensure the normal course of pregnancy.
Investigated genetic markers: F2 (G20210A), F5 (G1691A), MTHFR (C677T), MTHFR (A1298C).
Examination results are issued with an interpretation by a geneticist.
