Description
Pregnancy loss in the early stages (in the first trimester) is most often associated with serious genetic disorders in the fetus and defects in placenta development due to thrombotic damage. The presence of cases of early pregnancy loss in the history or established cardiovascular system diseases in the expectant mother or her relatives are determining reasons for conducting a genetic analysis, allowing to quickly and accurately establish the causes of disturbances in the course of pregnancy. The analysis is a detailed study of genetic risk markers for the occurrence of congenital malformations in the fetus (Down syndrome, other trisomies, neural tube defects, etc.), as well as an extended spectrum of markers of predisposition to increased blood clotting in the mother, and includes the study of six genetic markers responsible for the regulation of blood coagulation. The investigated risks are not evidence of the presence of genetic anomalies in the fetus - they allow taking timely measures to prevent the consequences of unfavorable genetic characteristics of the mother's body and ensure the normal course of pregnancy.
Investigated genetic markers: F2 (G20210A), F5 (G1691A), MTHFR (C677T), MTHFR (A1298C), MTRR (A66G), MTR (A2756G).
The examination results are issued with an interpretation by a medical geneticist.
