PCR analysis of mutations in exon 12 of the JAK2 gene

A genetic marker of Ph-negative myeloproliferative diseases associated with pathological activation of division and maturation (differentiation) processes of precursor cells of the myeloid hematopoietic lineage. Mutation of the JAK2 gene in exon 12 is found in 2% of cases in patients with polycythemia vera. The marker is used for the diagnosis of polycythemia vera, for the detection of atypical forms of myeloproliferative diseases, and for monitoring the effectiveness of targeted therapy.
