This tumor marker is used to evaluate the results of therapy for pancreatic, colon, and rectal cancer, as well as to monitor for recurrences of neoplasms in these organs. While possessing high sensitivity, the specificity of the indicator is very low, which prevents the analysis from being used for the diagnosis of oncological diseases.
