Description
Antibodies to cardiolipin represent the main fraction of antibodies to cell membrane phospholipids, which is a leading indicator of the presence of antiphospholipid syndrome. Antibodies from the antinuclear factor group are detected in many autoimmune diseases, including being one of the markers of APS. A combined study of these two indicators can be used both for screening the disease in persons at risk of its development, and for the diagnosis and monitoring of APS in conjunction with other tests.
The examination includes:
Antibodies to beta2-glycoprotein
Antinuclear factor on HEp-2 cells
Antibodies to cardiolipin, IgG and IgM
