Description
The presence of microsatellite instability (MSI) is a predictor of response to immunotherapy with anti-PD-1 antibodies in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Also, the presence of MSI is a predictor of ineffectiveness of adjuvant chemotherapy with fluoropyrimidines in patients with stage II colorectal cancer. The presence of mutations in KRAS, NRAS, and BRAF genes is a predictor of ineffectiveness of anti-EGFR antibody therapy. The presence of the BRAF V600E mutation is a predictor of efficacy for the use of BRAF inhibitors.
