Tree Allergen Mixture No. 1 (IgG): Box Elder, Birch, Elm, Oak, Walnut

Description

The most common type of allergy is pollen allergy, which usually has a seasonal character and coincides with the flowering periods of plants to whose pollen sensitization exists. Box elder, birch, elm, oak, and walnut are distributed in the same geographical latitude, bloom at approximately the same time (late April – late May), and there are very often cross-reactive allergic reactions to the pollen of these trees – these are the main reasons why these allergens are collected in one panel. Allergy manifests as profuse lacrimation, discharge from the nasal cavity; less often as skin manifestations; in severe cases, as attacks of suffocation, urticaria, Quincke's edema, seasonal pollen dermatitis with severe itching and various rashes. The determination of specific IgG in the blood primarily indicates that one or more allergens of the panel are entering the body; in addition, it is believed that an increased concentration of specific IgG in the blood contributes to a decrease in the manifestations of immediate-type allergic reactions, which are IgE-mediated, and the formation of delayed-type hypersensitivity.
