Description
The most common type of allergy is pollen allergy, which, as a rule, is seasonal in nature and timed to the flowering periods of plants to the pollen of which there is sensitization. Alder, common hazel, elm, white willow, and poplar are distributed in the same geographical latitude, bloom at approximately the same time (April - May), and cross-allergic reactions to the pollen of these trees are very frequent – these are the main reasons why these allergens are collected in one panel. Allergy manifests itself by profuse lacrimation, nasal discharge; less often by skin manifestations; in severe cases by attacks of suffocation, urticaria, Quincke's edema, seasonal pollen dermatitis with severe itching and various rashes. The determination of specific IgG in the blood primarily indicates that one or several allergens of the panel are entering the body; in addition, it is believed that an increased concentration of specific IgG in the blood helps to reduce the manifestations of immediate-type allergic reactions, which are mediated by IgE, and the formation of delayed-type hypersensitivity.
