Weed Pollen Allergen Mixture No. 1 (IgG): Common Ragweed, Mugwort, Plantain, Lamb's Quarters, Saltwort

Description

The most common type of allergy is pollen allergy, which typically has a seasonal character and coincides with the flowering periods of plants to whose pollen there is sensitization. This comprehensive screening test allows detecting sensitization to weed pollen: Common Ragweed, Mugwort, Plantain, Lamb's Quarters, Saltwort. Allergy manifests as profuse lacrimation, nasal discharge; less often as skin manifestations; in severe cases as asthma attacks, urticaria, Quincke's edema, seasonal pollen dermatitis with severe itching and various rashes.

Determination of specific IgG in the blood primarily indicates the entry of one or several panel allergens into the body; furthermore, it is believed that an increased concentration of specific IgG in the blood contributes to the reduction of immediate-type allergic reactions mediated by IgE and the formation of delayed-type hypersensitivity.

* Allergological tests containing the phrase "mixture of allergens" in their name refer to a comprehensive screening test that allows detecting sensitization (increased body sensitivity) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this test is provided for the mixture of allergens generally, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
