Description
All allergens presented in the panel possess pronounced sensitizing activity. Cat epithelium and dog dander are often components of house dust and very often become the cause of the onset or exacerbation of allergic diseases. Dander is considered one of the main allergens (along with hair) of the cow. It can be part of the house dust of workers in livestock farms, slaughterhouses, or cowhide processing enterprises. Horse dander is a very strong allergen, causing severe attacks of suffocation in sensitized people upon contact. These can manifest when visiting a circus or riding horses.
This study allows determining the presence of sensitization of the human body to these allergens and is significant for the diagnosis of bronchial asthma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, respiratory allergoses, and allergic conjunctivitis.
* Allergological studies containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name imply a comprehensive screening test that allows detecting sensitization (increased sensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this study is issued generally for the mixture of allergens, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
