Description
All allergens presented in the mixture possess pronounced sensitizing activity. Cat and dog dander is often a component of house dust and very frequently becomes a cause of the occurrence or exacerbation of allergic diseases. Dander is considered one of the main (along with hair) allergens of the cow. It can be part of the composition of house dust among workers of livestock farms, slaughterhouses, or enterprises for processing cow hides. Horse dander is a very strong allergen, causing severe attacks of suffocation in sensitized people upon contact. They can manifest when visiting a circus or riding horses. This test allows determining the presence of sensitization of the human body to these allergens and is important for the diagnosis of bronchial asthma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, respiratory allergies, and allergic conjunctivitis.
* Under allergological tests containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name, a comprehensive screening test is implied, which allows detecting sensitization (increased sensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this test is issued for the allergen mixture in general, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
