Description
All allergens presented in the panel have pronounced sensitizing activity. Cat epithelium and dog dander are often components of house dust and very often cause the onset or exacerbation of allergic diseases. In addition, the Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus mite is an integral component of house dust. Horse dander is a very strong allergen, causing severe attacks of suffocation in sensitized people upon contact. They can manifest when visiting a circus or riding horses. This test allows determining the presence of sensitization of the human body to these allergens and is important for the diagnosis of bronchial asthma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, respiratory allergosis, and allergic conjunctivitis.
* Allergological tests containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name imply a comprehensive screening test that allows detecting sensitization (increased body sensitivity) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this test is issued for the mixture of allergens in general, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
