Inhalation Allergen Mixture No. 7 (IgG): Cat Epithelium, Dog Dander, Rabbit Epithelium, Horse Dander, Dermatophagoides Pteronyssinus Mite

Description

All allergens represented in the mixture possess pronounced sensitizing activity. Mites of the genus Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus are the main part of house dust. Cat and dog epithelium (dander) are also often components of house dust and very frequently become the cause of the onset or exacerbation of allergic diseases. Horse dander is a potent allergen, causing severe suffocating attacks in sensitized individuals upon contact. They may manifest when visiting a circus or riding horses. A rabbit may live in an apartment as a pet, thereby being a source of allergens. This test allows for the determination of the presence of sensitization of the human body to these allergens and is of importance for the diagnosis of bronchial asthma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, respiratory allergosis, and allergic conjunctivitis. * Allergological tests containing the phrase "mixture of allergens" in their name refer to a comprehensive screening test that allows for the detection of sensitization (hypersensitivity of the body) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this test is provided for the mixture of allergens in general, not for each individual allergen included in this group.
