Description
All allergens presented in the panel have pronounced sensitizing activity. House dust allergens are very diverse in their composition. They include substances of animal and plant origin, waste products of fungi, insects, and bacteria. The main component of house dust are mites of the genus Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Dermatophagoides farinae, Dermatophagoides microceras, Acarus siro, Lepidoglyphus destructor, Tyrophagus putreus, Glycyphagus domesticus, Euroglyphus maynei. Manifestations of an allergic reaction are usually: coughing fits, difficulty breathing, and constant runny nose, especially in the morning hours. This study allows determining the presence of sensitization of the human organism to these allergens and is significant for the diagnosis of bronchial asthma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, respiratory allergosis, and allergic conjunctivitis.
* "Allergen mixture" in the name of allergological tests implies a complex screening study that allows detecting sensitization (hypersensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this study is issued for the mixture of allergens in general, not for each specific allergen included in this group.
