Description
Peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, coconuts, and Brazil nuts cause rapid development of food intolerance symptoms (within 1-3 days after consumption). Symptoms are particularly well pronounced in adults; a slow and latent course of food intolerance to this product is most often observed in children. This test is used for the diagnostics of food intolerance to the allergens of the panel. Food intolerance occurs more frequently compared to food allergy and proceeds according to the type of allergic reactions involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). In this case, a hidden food allergy develops – a delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous because the external clinical manifestations of the disease will develop slowly (up to several days), and not infrequently, they may be absent altogether for a long time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the body's organs and tissues can often lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and nervous systems, and skin, and can also have a negative impact on the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).
* Allergological studies containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name refer to a comprehensive screening test that allows detecting sensitization (hypersensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this study is issued generally for the mixture of allergens, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
