Description
Green peas, white beans, and potatoes are classified as having a moderate degree of allergenic activity as an etiological factor of food allergy, while carrots are classified as having high activity (excluding individual characteristics). This test allows determining the presence of the organism's sensitization to the presented allergens and thereby identifying possible cross-allergic reactions to the panel allergens. Manifestations of allergy can include digestive system dysfunction (cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis), skin manifestations (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema), and respiratory system dysfunction (allergic rhinitis, asthma). An allergic reaction to nuts can often proceed in the form of a severe attack of bronchial asthma.
* Allergological tests containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name refer to a comprehensive screening test that allows detecting sensitization (increased sensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this test is provided for the mixture of allergens as a whole, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
