Description
Orange, banana, apple, and peach cause rapid development of food intolerance symptoms (within 1-3 days after consumption). Symptoms are especially pronounced in adults; in children, a slow and latent course of food intolerance to these products is most commonly observed. This test is used to diagnose food intolerance to the allergens of the panel. Food intolerance is more common than food allergy and proceeds as allergic reactions involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). In this case, latent food allergy develops — a delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous, since external clinical manifestations of the disease develop slowly (up to several days), and quite often they may be absent for a long time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the organs and tissues of the body can often lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and nervous systems, and skin, and can also have a negative effect on the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).
* Allergological studies containing the phrase "allergen mix" in their name refer to a comprehensive screening study that detects sensitization (increased sensitivity of the body) to a specific group of allergens. The result of this study is issued for the allergen mix as a whole, not for each specific allergen included in this group.
