Food Allergen Mix No. 2 (IgG): Cod, Tuna, Shrimp, Salmon, Mussels

Description

Cod, tuna, shrimp, salmon, and mussels cause rapid development of food intolerance symptoms (already 1-3 days after consumption). Symptoms are especially pronounced in adults; in children, a slow and hidden course of food intolerance is most often observed. This test is used to diagnose food intolerance to the allergens of the panel. Food intolerance occurs more frequently compared to food allergy and proceeds according to the type of allergic reactions involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). In this case, hidden food allergy develops – delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous because external clinical manifestations of the disease will develop slowly (up to several days), and often they may not be present at all for a long time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the body's organs and tissues can often lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory, nervous systems, skin, and can also negatively affect the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).

* Allergological examinations containing the phrase "allergen mix" in their name imply a complex screening test that allows detecting sensitization (increased sensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this study is issued in general for the mixture of allergens, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
