Food allergen mix No. 24 (IgG): hazelnut, shrimp, kiwi, banana

Description

Hazelnut, shrimp, kiwi, and banana cause rapid development of food intolerance symptoms (within 1–3 days after consumption). Symptoms are especially pronounced in adults; in children, a slow and latent course of food intolerance to this product is most often observed. This test is used to diagnose food intolerance to the allergens of the panel. Food intolerance occurs more frequently than food allergy and proceeds as allergic reactions involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). This produces a latent food allergy — a delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous because external clinical manifestations of the disease develop slowly (over several days) and quite often may be absent for a long time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the body's organs and tissues can frequently lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and nervous systems, and skin, and may also have a negative impact on the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).

* Allergological tests whose name contains the phrase “allergen mix” refer to a comprehensive screening study that allows detection of sensitization (increased sensitivity of the body) to a specific group of allergens. The result of this study is issued for the allergen mixture as a whole, rather than for each individual allergen included in the group.
