Description
Sesame seeds, baker's yeast, garlic, and celery, as an etiological factor of food allergy, are classified as having a high degree of allergenic activity (without taking into account individual characteristics). This test allows determining the presence of sensitization of the body to the presented allergens and thereby identifying possible cross-allergic reactions to the allergens of the panel. Manifestations of allergy can be dysfunctions of the digestive system (cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis), skin manifestations (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema), and dysfunctions of the respiratory system (allergic rhinitis, asthma). An allergic reaction to nuts can often occur in the form of a severe attack of bronchial asthma.
* Allergological tests containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name imply a complex screening test that allows identifying sensitization (increased sensitivity of the body) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this test is issued for the mixture of allergens in general, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
