Description
Egg white, milk, peanut, and mustard cause rapid development of food intolerance symptoms (within 1-3 days after consumption). The symptoms are especially pronounced in adults; in children, food intolerance to these products most often has a slow and latent course. This test is used to diagnose food intolerance to the allergens in the panel. Food intolerance is more common than food allergy and proceeds as allergic reactions involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). This results in the development of a latent food allergy — a delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous, since the external clinical manifestations of the disease develop slowly (over several days), and quite often may be absent for a long period of time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the organs and tissues of the body can often lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and nervous systems, and skin, and may also have a negative impact on the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).
* Allergological studies containing the phrase "allergen mix" in their name refer to a comprehensive screening test that allows detection of sensitization (increased sensitivity of the body) to a specific group of allergens. The result of this study is given in general for the allergen mix, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
