Food allergen mixture No. 5 (IgE): egg white, cow's milk, cod, wheat flour, peanut, soybeans

Description

Egg white, cow's milk, cod, wheat flour, peanut, and soybeans are potent allergens. This test allows determining the presence of organism sensitization to the presented allergens and thereby identifying possible cross-allergic reactions to the panel allergens. Manifestations of allergy can be digestive system dysfunction (cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis), skin manifestations (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema), and respiratory system dysfunction (allergic rhinitis, asthma). An allergic reaction to nuts can often proceed in the form of a severe attack of bronchial asthma.
* Allergological tests containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name imply a complex screening test that allows detecting sensitization (increased sensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. In this case, the result of this test is issued for the allergen mixture in general, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
