Description
Kiwi, mango, banana, and pineapple cause rapid development of food intolerance symptoms (within 1-3 days after consumption). Symptoms are especially pronounced in adults, while in children a slow and latent course of food intolerance to this product is most often observed. This test is used for the diagnosis of food intolerance to the allergens on the panel. Food intolerance occurs more frequently than food allergy and proceeds as allergic reactions involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). In this case, latent food allergy develops — a delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous because external clinical manifestations of the disease will develop slowly (up to several days), and not infrequently they may be absent altogether for a long time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the organs and tissues of the body can often lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and nervous systems, and skin, and may also have a negative impact on the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).
* Allergological tests containing the phrase "allergen mix" in their name refer to a comprehensive screening study that allows the detection of sensitization (increased sensitivity of the body) to a specific group of allergens. The result of such a study is given collectively for the allergen mix, and not for each individual allergen included in this group.
