Description
Tomato, potato, carrot, garlic, and mustard cause rapid development of food intolerance symptoms (within 1-3 days after consumption). Symptoms are especially pronounced in adults, while in children a slow and latent course of food intolerance to this product is most often observed. This test is used to diagnose food intolerance to the allergens of the panel. Food intolerance is more common than food allergy and occurs as an allergic-type reaction involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). In this case, a latent food allergy develops — a delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous because the external clinical manifestations of the disease develop slowly (over several days), and not infrequently may be absent for a long time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the organs and tissues of the body can often lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and nervous systems, and skin, and may also have a negative impact on the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).
* Allergological studies whose name contains the phrase "allergen mix" refer to a comprehensive screening test that allows detection of sensitization (increased sensitivity of the body) to a specific group of allergens. The result of this test is given as a whole for the allergen mix, not for each specific allergen included in this group.
