Description
Wheat flour, oat flour, corn flour, sesame seeds, and buckwheat flour are strong allergens. This test allows determining the presence of sensitization of the organism to the presented allergens and thereby identifying possible cross-allergic reactions to the panel allergens. Allergy manifestations can be digestive system dysfunctions (cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis), skin manifestations (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema), and respiratory system dysfunctions (allergic rhinitis, asthma). An allergic reaction to nuts can often manifest as a severe attack of bronchial asthma.
* Allergological tests containing the phrase "allergen mixture" in their name imply a comprehensive screening test that allows detecting sensitization (increased sensitivity of the organism) to a specific group of allergens. The result of this test is provided for the mixture of allergens as a whole, and not for each specific allergen included in this group.
