Description
Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by the actinomycete Streptomyces tenebrarius. It has a bactericidal effect, that is, it causes the death of the pathogenic microorganism. In clinical practice, it is used to treat infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
