Description
The study allows detecting Ureaplasma parvum DNA in biological material (concentration is provided in case of a positive result). This type of microorganism belongs to the group of opportunistic pathogens, is present in the microflora of 50-75% of the adult population, however, with a decrease in immunity or the addition of other infections, it actively multiplies, leading to the development of dysbiosis, and then an inflammatory process. Ureaplasmas possess low immunogenicity, which makes the detection of specific antibodies to them in blood serum difficult, therefore the detection of genetic material (DNA) is the most sensitive diagnostic method. Determination of the ureaplasma species is important when choosing optimal treatment tactics.
