The study is used to confirm the presence of the virus in the patient's body, which helps in establishing the correct diagnosis and prescribing the most adequate therapy. The analysis result does not depend on the state of the immune system and can provide valuable diagnostic information in the early period of the disease, when antibodies are not yet present in the blood.
