Description
A new laboratory method characterized by fast results, accuracy, and high information content. A feature of real-time polymerase chain reaction is the ability to register a fluorescent signal directly during PCR amplification, allowing the determination of the presence of C. trachomatis DNA in the test material. The method is necessary both for the diagnosis of the acute form of the infectious process and for the detection of chronic forms, since the result of the study does not depend on the stage of the disease or the severity of the body's immune response, but is determined only by the presence or absence of the pathogen in the investigated biomaterial. Indications for ordering tests:
1. Diagnosis of inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary system
2. Pregnancy planning
3. Prenatal diagnosis of intrauterine infections
4. Casual sexual contacts
Period of execution
Within 3 days. The specified time does not include the day of biomaterial collection
