Description
A complex examination for non-invasive assessment of the gastric mucosa condition, secretory activity of the mucosa, and for the diagnosis of gastritis (atrophic, autoimmune). It allows obtaining an insight into the level of hydrochloric acid secretion, establishing the nature and severity of changes in the gastric mucosa, as well as the fact of Helicobacter pylori infection – the main cause of chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, and stomach cancer. H. pylori can lead to impaired absorption of certain vitamins (B12) and microelements (zinc, calcium, iron, magnesium).
The results of the examination will help develop a strategy for further examination or treatment of dyspepsia, gastritis, including those associated with H. pylori infection. The non-invasive examination method (using venous blood) is suitable for people with contraindications to instrumental examination methods (EGD, gastroscopy).
The examination is recommended in the following cases:
suspicion of gastritis;
reflux, heartburn;
belching air after eating, rotten egg burps;
heaviness after animal protein;
unstable stool, undigested food residues in stool, unpleasant odor;
white coating on the tongue, nausea, feeling of fullness in the stomach, feeling of heaviness after eating for a long time;
bloating, gas formation, digestion disorders;
loss of appetite, early satiety;
anemia, deficiency of micronutrients and vitamins (zinc, B12, B9, iron);
long-term use of medications (proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), antacids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), glucocorticosteroids);
chronic stress;
stomach diseases in relatives (stomach cancer).
